Unique Homes In Las Vegas

Unique Homes In Las Vegas

As I began my research for a new blog, I thought...what can I write about that hasn't been covered. The Raiders moving to Vegas? Well, not only has that been covered, but it has been covered multiple times per day. Maybe, the best backyard pools on the market? There are some great ones, but that is a blog for another day. As I was wondering around the MLS looking for something to catch my eye, I came across some gems that are without a doubt unique properties that can only be found in Las Vegas.

BINGO! These homes are the kind that have stories to tell, the ones that are intriguing. I crave a home that has character and this first home didn't disappoint. With plenty of beautiful master planned communities around the valley, that showcase limited floorplans and elevations, finding a unique home in Las Vegas isn't always easy. If you are in the market for unique style, something that is dripping with old Las Vegas charm,  a home rumored to have mob ties and a current owner who has preformed for 5 Presidents and Queen Elizabeth the II, then look no further. This home has ALL of that, and more!

A beautiful entry to welcome you home.                                                                                                                       A beautiful entry to welcome you home.

Home to Phyllis McGuire, of the McGuire Sisters, who has resided in this famously showcased mansion in Las Vegas for decades. It boasts its own beauty parlor, a swan moat, and a replica of the Eiffel Tower which actually rises through the home's roof.  As rumored history tells it, Phyllis and notorious mobster Sam Giancana met in Sin City at the Desert Inn and soon fell in love. Years after Sam’s death, Phyllis admitted to writer Dominick Dunne that the two greatest losses in her life were her father and Sam.  Here is a glimpse into her beautiful estate.

With over 24,000 sq. feet and a lot that measures 2.5 acres there is room to entertain your closest friends.

It is clear this home was designed with the art of entertaining in mind. There are several other unique features which include a master bedroom that has been remodeled to showcase The McGuire Sisters' many costumes. A guest house that surpasses any of its guests expectations.  There is even a 50s ice cream parlor called Phyllis' Place that brings a bit of nostalgia to anyone lucky enough to be served a soda or sundae on a hot Las Vegas day.
